UTOPIA 46 pretende ser un lugar de encuentros, de proyectos, de IDEAS. Queremos impulsar iniciativas, darles su propio espacio y dejarlas crecer y volar. No deseamos alcanzar un objetivo concreto, pero sí tenemos un reto: crear un punto de partida para aquellos que quieren generar contenido en el marco cultural.
UTOPÍAS REALISTAS
En un momento de sus vidas en el que mucha gente no piensa más que en acomodarse, Quique Camín y Oscar Vallés se han embarcado en el que es tal vez el proyecto más ambicioso, y realista, de su dilatada carrera. Hace casi cuarenta años que trabajan juntos, desde que Oscar llegó a Ovideo, productora líder de la producción audiovisual en Barcelona, recién fundada por Quique junto con el irrepetible Pepo Sol. Era una época fluida, en la que este país estaba naciendo y donde parecía que todo era posible, porque todo estaba por aprender. Una época de improvisación y planificación, de curiosidad y reflexión, de imitación y de invención. En esa época nació la Barcelona que es ahora una de las ciudades preferidas de los que pueden elegir ciudad, para vivir o para visitar.
Esta ciudad, que fue de las primeras del país en darse cuenta de que la creatividad no es un lujo sino una necesidad, se ha dado cuenta de que las necesidades insatisfechas de una parte de sus ciudadanos son un obstáculo para la creatividad. Buscar la igualdad no sólo es de justicia, es de sentido común: es el único proyecto con futuro.
En el 2015 nace Utopía 126 de la mano de Quique y Oscar con la certeza de que uno no puede refugiarse en el éxito de un equipo probado mil veces; uno tiene que seguir buscando desesperadamente, como siempre, nuevas formas, nuevos talentos. La vía que han elegido para ello es ofrecer, a quien tenga un proyecto, abrigo y experiencia para llevarlo a cabo.
Generoso, desde luego. Pero también sabio.

Utopía 126 is a project that is in charge of managing the factory where we are installed with the idea of hosting initiatives and audiovisual or cultural and artistic projects that need a space to be carried out.
REALISTIC UTOPIAS
At this point in their life, when most people only think about settling into a comfortable life, Quique Camín and Oscar Vallés have embarked on what may be their most ambitious and, at the same time, realistic project of their extensive career. They have been working together for over 30 years, when Oscar joined Ovideo, newly founded by Quique and the unforgettable Pepo Sol. It was a time when everything flowed, when this country was born and everything seemed possible, because everything was yet to be learned. An era of improvisation and planning, curiosity and reflection, imitation and invention. This is the era that gave birth to Barcelona, now one of the favorite cities for the ones able to choose, to live or to visit.
This city, among the first in the country to realize that creativity is not a luxury but a necessity, is aware that if part of its citizens' needs are unmet there is no room for creativity. The quest for equality is not only just, but also common sense: it is the only project with a future.
This is when Utopia 126 is created by Quique and Oscar. Producers of films and commercials, they know that one cannot settle and rely on the success of a team proven a thousand times; one has to keep searching desperately, as always, for new forms, new talents. The path they have chosen is to create this beautiful bare space, and the generosity to offer shelter and experience for people with new projects, to make sure they see the light.
Generous, of course. But also wise.
